Abstract

This paper explains that methods available today for instructing novice drivers are far more interactive and individualized than traditional classroom instruction. Computer-based training is highly learner centered and, with the motion visual capabilities (e.g., DVD), can put students behind the wheel where they can be exposed to and learn to handle the many threats to safety before they are encountered on the road.
