Abstract

A navigation system for All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), composed of a navigation display that is easy to read during rough road running, a meter with a coordinate memory function that is easy to operate even by gloved fingers, and a GPS receiver with high durability, has been developed. This system displays the direction and distance to a destination using arrows and three figures, floating-point indication on an LCD. The position of the rider can be entered easily by double pressing large button switches.
