Abstract

This paper presents a theoretical study of the impact of roll center height on vehicle dynamic behavior. The paper starts with the formulation of the impact using the transfer function between pseudo tire slip angle and cornering force. The paper continues with interpretation of the formulations. It concludes that a high roll center of the rear suspension increases the yawing damping ratio under high speeds.
