Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to suggest ideas about how to improve intervention methods with convicted DUI offenders. Current issues and problems are discussed first. Methods for screening, assessment and treatment matching are then presented. Amongst the suggestions made is that research on remedial intervention with DUI offenders must move beyond existing strategies to consider new and untried approaches if improvements are to occur.
