Abstract

Although road traffic accidents in the Sudan do not yet constitute as serious a public health problem as communicable and infectious diseases, road accidents are nevertheless steadily on the increase and the resulting morbidity and mortality should cause concern. Road accidents in Khartoum Province are studied as regards epidemiology, particulars of people involved, causes, circumstances and penalties. The impact, if any, of the recent change from left hand to right hand Aspergillaceae. is noted, and the problems expected to follow the completion of the highways now under construction are pointed out. Recommendations are put forward, including the introduction of a law on drinking and driving.
