Abstract

The data used by Zador, Moshman and Marcus to estimate the effects of right-turn-on-red on accidents were reanalyzed. In this analysis, the data were less aggregated than Zador . used. The result was that the increase in right-turn accidents at signalized intersections associated with the introduction of right-turn-on-red was only 14, not 21% as found by Zador.
