Abstract

This paper describes some of the results of international joint research work conducted from 1985 to 1987. Traffic issues reflect the cultural characteristics of the society. Here we have conducted surveys of two areas, namely, traffic behavior and involving the occurrence of traffic accidents, and perceptions concerning traffic, and we have tried to outline the problem. We were able to recognize results which reflect culture and circumspection with respect to the area of traffic behavior, and in the perception of causes of accidents and traveling speed with respect to the area of perceptions of traffic.
