Abstract

The number convicted for flight after an accident during alcohol intoxication and in the absence of injury to person rose from 1960 to 1980 by 470%. The age of the culprit has little influence on the incidence. Women are less guilty than men. Evaluation of reliable data of several investigations prove that alcohol is a common reason for flight after an accident.
