Abstract

Subject is the result of an exploratory study which dealt with the agreement of judging driving ability between both medico-psychological institutions and authorities that issue driving licences. Data analysis showed that the results of examinations by medico-psychological institutions essentially support the authorities in their judgement of driving ability. Noted differences in singled out cases show that the authorities tend to employ tougher judgement than medico-psychological institutions. The character of this study requires a confirmatory study in which we believe special attention should be given to the criteria used by the authorities as basis for their decicions.
