Abstract

To evaluate the possible effects on the psychological performance ability, the drug Venalot Depot was administered alone (21 cases) or in combination with alcohol (9 cases), to determine reaction pattern, power of concentration and attentiveness. All persons were tested under 4 conditions - sober, under the influence of alcohol (0.8 g/kg of weight), the drug and alcohol drug combination. Blood alcohol concentrations varied between 0.61 and 1.07(per mille). Statistical analysis of the results (using randomized block and randomized block factorial design) gave no indication of a change in the effects of alcohol or the drug in respect to the tested psychophysical performances. This is of importance with regard to the driving performance.
