Abstract

The issue of suicide and older adults is examined in light of the aging of the current population. Specifically, risk factors are described and the interface between the human service professions and suicide among older adults is discussed. Implications for the field are examined, and recommendations are provided in terms of how human service providers can have an impact on what is sure to be a growing issue of concern in the United States.
