Abstract

This study, the driver's behavior while driving on a highway when earthquake occurs, it is analyzed while compared with the relevant prior studies. Although previous research had been concerned about the "squeeze-out of the lane" from the handle operation mistake by shaking, in the squeeze-out of the lane this study I was not confirmed explicitly. Report on the sudden braking by obtaining emergency earthquake was small. Also impact on the operation of the emergency earthquake, the impact from the analysis results of the present study was limited. Meanwhile, the driver continue to travel after recognizing the earthquake problem, as with previous findings were also observed in this study. In addition, posting or on the highway, coverage of television and radio is, that does not come out provide valid information to the driver was also confirmed.

本研究は，東日本大震災発生時に高速道路を走行中の運転者の行動を，関連する先行研究と比較しつつ分析を行った．既往研究は揺れによるハンドル操作ミスから「車線のはみ出し」を危惧していたが，本研究では車線のはみ出しについては明示的に確認されなかった．緊急地震速報の入手による急ブレーキに関する報告は少なかった．緊急地震速報の運転への影響についても，本研究の分析結果からは影響は限定的であった．一方，地震発生を認知した後に走行を続ける運転者の問題が，既往の知見と同様に，本研究でも観察された．また，高速道路上の掲示や，テレビ・ラジオの報道は，運転者に対して有効な情報を提供でてきていない点も確認された．
