Abstract

When a driver is overtaking a slower vehicle on a two-lane road, he may be confronted with an oncoming vehicle and therefore may be faced with a decision whether to complete or abort the overtaking in progress. The possibility that such a difficulty may exist is analysed. Numerical examples are given with particular reference to sight distance restricted curves. 14 refs.
