Abstract

Based on features of interaction mode simulation, this paper analyzes the structure, software and hardware and the operation principle of VR-based driver-vehicle-road virtual simulation for traffic safety research, and discusses some key technologies for its implementation, including data collection of handling signal, network solution for vehicle dynamics, Creator-based virtual scene modeling, Vega-based vision rendering, collision detection, three-channel synchronous vision display, vehicle behavior modeling on the basis of multi-agent theory and dynamic display of the simulation information. Applications show that the operation simulation and safety evaluation will be carried out in design phase with the aid of the virtual simulation system, then the optimum design can be founded and road safety can be improved.
