Abstract

Overspeed in other words speed violation is driving the vehicle above the speed limits that have been declared. Speed regulations are the mostly violated regulations not only in our country but in other countries as well. According to the studies it is estimated that more than 90% of the drivers have exceed the advised speed limit during their driving carrier. Correct determination of the speed limits and obeying the speed regulations will effect the traffic safety positively and decrease the mortal accidents. In this study the influence of speed on the mortal accidents and traffic safety are discussed.
