Abstract

Considering the overtaking flow, this paper built the continuum equation of mixed traffic flow, set up the kinematics differential equation by means of differential calculus. The continuum equation and kinematics differential equation composed the dynamic model of mixed traffic flow. When the model is applied to traffic flow without overtaking flow, the flow-density relationship is obtained. The results indicate that the model coincides with the surveyed dates.
