Abstract

In this paper, Paris's formula and theory on model of metal crack growth are recounted. Experimental study on the method to forecast the crack growth life is done when crack appears by using the stress of the structure without crack calculated from FEM. By analyzing the data of experiments, the results show that the method satisfies the engineering requirement for crack growth diagnosis.
