Abstract

In order to research the influence in the traffic flows and make more reasonable and efficient control in signalized intersection, authors analyzed the conflict in the four-cross signalized intersection. With the application of the theory of the gap acceptance for passing through, authors gained the chorological discipline of the left-turn non-motors by the observable data. And the formulas of the number of the passing through and the detained non-motors were deduced. By the quantitative analysis, the analysis model of left-turn non-motors influence in the straight motor was set up. The results provide the theoretical basis for installing the appropriative non-motor phase, and supply the new ideas and methods to the signal design, especially the non-motor phase setting in signalized intersection.
