Abstract

Recently, maintenance errors in aviation have been the most important factor causing aviation accidents. The present state of management for controlling maintenance errors in aviation is analyzed. The existing problems in the field are described. And a new idea is proposed to explore the classification of causation of maintenance errors, which uses the SHEL model to collect the related information of maintenance errors and uses REASON model to analyze the information and classify the causation in four aspects - human, mechanism, environment and management. Based on these researches, an expert system for early warning management is built and its architecture is introduced, which introduces the rule based uncertainty reasoning into the field of early warning expert system for maintenance errors in civil aviation by means of Agent technology.
