Abstract

Conventional signal timing of traffic mainly aims at decreasing automobile vehicles' delay, which can not very well reflects the individuals' value of time. Based on the traditional signal timing formula, a new timing formula and corresponding delay evaluation formula is put forward by decreasing people's total delay at the intersection. In the end, the simulation analysis of the traffic data of Wenyi-Gucui crossroad verifies the effectiveness of the proposed signal timing formula.
