Abstract

Estimates of the number of red-light running crashes and related injuries on a national basis are not readily available from national crash databases. To produce consistent estimates of red-light running crash losses, FHWA and IIHS established a uniform definition of red-light running crashes based on existing parameters in national crash databases.
