Abstract

The role of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in implementing the intersection operations and safety programs is discussed. FHWA is taking initiatives to promote and market the national agenda for intersection safety. FHWA is talking a leadership role in helping other safety stakeholders develop and implement intersection safety action plans by providing technical assistance, developing new tools and technologies and providing outreach and communication tools.
