Abstract

Low speed design criteria for residential streets was discussed. The latest ordinance didn't ensure that all traffic operating speeds on new residential streets will not exceed the 30 mph speed limit. The goal of designing residential streets that will produce acceptable operating speeds was worthy of additional analysis.
