Abstract

The effects of speed humps on property value are discussed. The study employed program evaluation techniques and statistical analysis to compare neighborhoods with and without speed humps using before and after sales data matching on other important criteria. According to the data, when selecting speed humps as the dependent variable in such a study, it cannot be demonstrated that installing speed humps will affect property values in many predictable ways.
