Abstract

The Michigan State University has been contracted to conduct a four-year study to evaluate various pavement marking materials used for longitudinal delineation. The results of the project were intended to be used to develop guidelines for the most cost-effective use of pavement-marking materials. The retroreflectivity and durability of test materials and the relationship between the level of retroreflectivity and nighttime accidents were also investigated.
