Abstract

A Speed Management Work Plant which outlines needed areas of research and activities to be undertaken by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) was developed. The plan is part is the continuing commitment by NHTSA and FHWA to reduce the number of speed-related fatalities and injuries occurring on the highways. The plan supports the USDOT'S strategic plan to significantly reduce deaths and injuries on the highways.
