Abstract

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has developed a multimedia database to manage its logo signs along interstate highways. By compiling all the information about the signs into a simple database, the department has an effective tool for managing the repair, replacement, inspection and leasing of logo space. The field procedures proved to easy to master, and subsequent updates are handled easily.
