Abstract

KEYWALK is a tool available to traffic engineers to provide a service to a section of the community previously not catered for a traffic signals. It is simple, inexpensive, and has the potential to provide a new degree of freedom for mobility impaired pedestrians. This paper describes the concept and hardware of the KEYWALK system.
