Abstract

Inadequacy of road accident rates, involvement, injury, and fatality rates relative to 10,000 motor vehicles on Register is discussed from theoretical and practical points of view; road accident involvement rates expressed in 100 million mi of performance, of two sexes and various age-groups of drivers, are presented and classified according to various areas of occurrence, days of week, periods of day, vehicle occupancy, and severity of accident.
