Abstract

A claimed advantage of interlocking concrete block pavements is that their color difference compared to asphaltic concrete (AC) makes them useful in road safety and local area traffic management applications. However, no testing has been reported in the literature which examined the color differences between concrete block pavers and AC. This note describes some laboratory testing carried out to examine the differences in color between two concrete block samples and an AC sample.
