Abstract

Between 70-90% of all traffic crashes involve drivers' faults or errors. Psychophysiological conditions, the use of alcohol and other drugs (both prescription and illicit), and general state of health all play a role in safe driving. The present investigation studies the effects of coronary heart disease (CHD), arterial hypertension (AH), and cardiac arrhythmia on traffic crashes involving commercial drivers.
