Abstract

The authors of the paper gave only a partial view of the issues relating to lap belt fitting and use in the rear seats of passenger cars. By doing so they ignore a number of important issues and distort the evolving state of knowledge in biomechanics and seat belt effectiveness over the last 20 years.
