Abstract

This paper concerns certain considerations in crash energy absorption requirements for passenger cars. In addition it describes some of the problems to be anticipated with the application of hydraulic crash energy absorption devices from a practical aspect as related to their installation and to their performance and service life on production automobiles operated by the motoring public.
