Abstract

The goal of our research in accident prevention is the identification of the basic causes of accidents in the hope that eliminating or modifying any of them may reduce accident frequency or severity and reduce accidental injuries and deaths.

Formulating and testing hypotheses for the development of preventive techniques is fundamental. Part of this process we call the epidemiology of accident prevention.
