Aims and Scope (from publisher): Adolescents (ISSN 2673-7051) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original articles, critical reviews, research notes, and short communications in the interdisciplinary area of research on adolescents. It links several scientific disciplines including psychology, biology, history, sociology, education, anthropology, genetics, and oncology to address the promotion of healthy development in adolescents.

Adolescents experience rapid physical, cognitive, and psychosocial growth. This affects how they feel, think, make decisions, and interact with the world around them. During this phase, adolescents establish patterns of behavior—for instance, related to diet, physical activity, substance use, and sexual activity—that can protect their health and the health of others around them, or put their health at risk now and in the future. This journal aims to help adolescents better develop knowledge and skills, learn to manage emotions and relationships, and acquire attributes and abilities that will be important for enjoying the adolescent years and assuming adult roles.
