Abstract

The need to reconsider our research field and its emphasis has been a cornerstone of transport history debate in the past decades. This has led to a change of focus using new tools and innovative approaches to address the idea and practices of movement. This new vision of transport history asks us to mobilise original investigation strategies and adventurous research trajectories; significantly the latter should encompass forms of transport beyond the wheeled and motorised mobilities.
