Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the moderating effects of the multi-group in the relationship safety management system (SMS) and human factors (HF) and civil aviation safety (CAS) performance and to highlight the impact of safety climate factors on the safety performance. This investigation used the structural equation modelling approach to explore the factors that significantly affect the CAS performance. Specifically, this study is based on the data from 733 safety experts of aviation. Moderating effects of multi-group were originated in the relationship between the SMS and HF and CAS performance. This study provides civil aviation sector with valuable information for designing effective strategies to improve CAS performance.
