Abstract

The trend of violent events against physicians remains ongoing in China. Doctors and medical institutions seem to be a weak side compared with patients and their relatives due to the media's partial attitudes. Harsh laws that punish violent crimes are warranted to be promulgated to protect physicians' safety in China.
