Abstract

Among other things, this Act redefines a number of sexual crimes committed against women and children. In general, it increases the penalties for the commission of sexual crimes, particularly when committed by ascendants, guardians, and caretakers, and sets forth in greater detail the kinds of sexual behavior that are liable to punishment. It also adds to the Criminal Code the offenses of "householder permitting abuse of children on his premises", "abuse of intellectually impaired children", and "maintaining a sexual relationship with a child under sixteen".
