Abstract

This article describes the Anti-Icing/RWIS (Road Weather Information System) Computer-Based Training program, a computer-based training program which provides the necessary knowledge needed to utilize RWIS technology in winter maintenance decision-making operations. The tool contains RWIS and anti-icing reference materials, administrative tools, interactive exercises, and a scenario room with simulated winter storms designed to develop decision-making skills.
