Abstract

Comments on an article by H. L. Ansbacher, which presents an interesting summary of psychological techniques as applied to foreign workers by the Nazis during World War II. Ansbacher seems to praise the German psychologists for adapting to the Nazi regime and doing their bit to make the "slave laborers" happy and to increase production. The author feels that the future of the human race looks bleak when the specialists in human behavior, the one group intrinsically concerned with the free development of the individual personality, can function so normally under a totalitarian system dedicated to a denial of human values.
