There are three basic elements: susceptible subject, a suitable physical and human environment, and causal agents. The main problems at different ages are traffic accidents and drownings by immersion that stand out for their severe consequences, followed by burns, poisonings, and falls. In the public health projects in Cuba until 2015, one of the main purposes is the reduction of mortality from accidents by 20%.
