Abstract

This paper is concerned with gap acceptance and traffic flow characteristics at two unsignalized T-junctions: one controlled by two YIELD signs and the other by a STOP and a YIELD sign. The main objective was to analyze gap acceptance and delay characteristics, with particular reference to the pattern of the control at the intersections. The analysis was based on a calculation of several statistical measures of accepted and rejected gaps and lags and critical gaps and lags.
