Abstract

The impact of red-light camera (RLC) enforcement on crashes and related severity is presented. Red-light running automated enforcement is only one of the many countermeasures available to reduce crashes at intersections. RLC can bring about a reduction in more severe angle crashes but a slight increase in less severe rear-end crashes.
