Abstract

Local and national efforts to reduce the phenomena of drunk driving have not been conspicuously successful. Part of the problem is undoubtedly the overwhelming number of drunk drivers on our highways, particularly at night. Our current project was undertaken because of our belief that the current "case finding" method for dealing with drunk drivers is almost fruitless, that further data would have to be obtained as a prelude to successful preventive programs.
