How do I access RSS?
RSS Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you.

Several common Web browsers for Windows (Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox, Opera) and essentially all browsers under the Mac and Linux operating systems have built-in RSS readers. To view a site's RSS feeds click on the RSS icon (see below). rss icon

When using IE7 the icon is located near the Go-To-My-Homepage button. If you are using Firefox, the icon is located at the bottom of your screen.

Several companies (Google, Yahoo, AOL) provide a place on their homepage for users to add their collection of feeds. Several other companies (Newsgator, Bloglines) provide a Web interface so that anyone may receive RSS feeds using any browser.

There are several free stand-alone RSS readers available for Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems. I use the free, open source FeedReader ( http://www.feedreader.com/ ) software for Windows (Windows 95, 98, NT, XP). It works well and has an interface that is user friendly. Like many RSS aggregators, FeedReader comes with several feeds already subscribed. You will almost certainly want to delete many of them else you may find yourself drowning in feeds that don't interest you.
