abstract="The authors discuss urban bus service contract risk management clauses in Brazil. Risk management is discussed in regard to both administrative and land passenger transportation operation contracts. A case study in the latter is given in the context of Manaus, located in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. The legal feasibility of new risk rules are examined in the context of Brazilian law, including risks that are the responsibility of the operators, risks that are the responsibility of the contracting authority, and risks that are shared. General risk rule enforcement procedure is also given.<p />",
