abstract="One-hundred and thirty-five road traffic accident admissions (38.8% of all accidents analysed) were studied with respect to their age, sex, and distribution of injuries. It was found that the adolescent and young adult males were mostly affected. The bed utilization rate in the wards where these accident victims were admitted was found to be lower than for other wards. Ways by which the services in hospitals--both specialist and general--can be organized for a more economic and efficient care of road traffic accident casualties are discussed.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
