abstract="Accident investigators are often confronted with the fact that there are doubts with regard to the person who has piloted a vehicle at the time of the accident. By securing all traces in or on the vehicle and on the clothes of the persons on board it will be possible to identify the person who has been piloting the vehicle. Evidence can also be obtained from blood-traces, the remnants of human tissue and hair and textile fibres and by the abrasion of synthetics and of paint as well as by characteristic deformations.
