abstract="In 1980 the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia commissioned a national study of children's accidents. The results indicate that accidents are becoming relatively more important as a cause of death in childhood. Variations in accident death rates between the age groups, the sexes and the States indicate broad target groups for preventive activity and further research. In particular attention should be focused on deaths from transport accidents and drowning.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
